The 14th general elections is just around the corner and anticipation is high among the rakyat. Who will win? Barisan Nasional (BN) for Pakatan Harapan?
Foreign observers have already made up ther minds.
Singapore Straits Times say BN is expected to win.
Why is this so?
Let us take a look.
BN has strong support in rural areas
Traditionally, BN has strong support in rural areas,
That has always been the case.
The rural areas is the heartland of the Malays who will always support BN.
This is because only BN can uphold and protect the special rights of the Bumiputeras.
Only BN can protect the dignity of Islam.
The Straits Times Singapore said on January 10 this is why BN is expected to win.
BN has strong support in Sabah and Sarawak
Historically, BN always have strong support in Sabah and Sarawak.
The Sabahans and Sarawakians want peace and stability.
And they know that only BN can provide the peace and prosperity.
The opposition is only there to make a ruckus.
That is why in the past the Sarawak and Sabah state governments banned politicians from the opposition from entering the states.
The state governments know that the opposition is up to no good.
The opposition not united
The Straits Times also reported that BN is expected to retain power simply because the opposition is not united.
This is evident from a few days ago when Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad was named as prime minister candidate if Pakatan Harapan wins the next general elections.
Parti Keadilan Rakyat is against the plan and wants Selangor Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Azmin Ali to be prime minister.
So it will be easy for BN to win as the opposition is not united.
Three cornered fights to benefit BN
BN is expected to win the general elections as there will be more three cornered fights.
These three cornered fights will benefit BN.
This is due to Pas refusing to rejoin Pakatan Harapan.
This will split the votes and the elections will work in BN’s favour.
Stock market, ringgit already improving
The stock market is already improving hitting new highs.
The ringgit has also turned around to touch RM3.96 to the US dollar.
This is the highest level since 2016.
The international investors are returning to the country.
These are signs that investors have confidence in BN.
Rakyat knows BN taking care of them
The rakyat knows that BN is helping them.
This include BR1M, Kedai Rakyat 1Malaysia and so many others.
For despatch rider Sahari Ahmad, his salary is small.
“But BR1M has helped me to get by as the cost of living is very high.”
For Zuliana Izlin, she can now get a maid at a fraction of the cost and faster.
All this is the efforts of BN which cares for the rakyat.
And these efforts will ensure BN win the elections.
Unity among BN parties solid as a rock
Whenver there is a by-election, we can see the unity among coalition partners.
Although the candidate is from MIC, the other parties will come in droves to support the candidate.
The other parties are from Umno, MCA, Gerakan, PPP and others.
And recently MCA and Gerakan teamed up to work together.
So BN is expected to win as the unity among coalition partners is as solid as a rock.
However, BN expected to lose popular vote
BN will win the general elections as there are more seats in rural areas.
These seats are all BN friendly.
BN however is expected to lose the popular vote.
This is because most voters in urban areas tend to support the opposition.
Datuk Seri Kalimullah Hassan however said BN is expected to maintain parliamentary majority.
How will this impact the rakyat
It is clear that BN has all this while provided peace and prosperity for the rakyat.
No other party can do the same.
So the rakyat must cast their votes carefully.
They should not vote based on political reasons.
The rakyat must think of their children, economy and the future.
Only BN can ensure a prosperous Malaysia and the rakyat will be taken care of.
