Malaysia’s 14th general election (GE14), 3.7 million Malaysians have not registered themselves as voters. Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak today urges to do so immediately because it is the country’s future at stake.
“Do not take your future for granted and let other people to decide what your future. The final outcome will have a major impact on your life and your family,”he states in his blog najibrazak.com.
With the peoples voices being essential to shape the nation’s future, you family’s future, your future and the generation’s to come. Citing from the register report as at March 31 2017, 3.7 million Malaysians aged 21 have not yet registered as voters.
As Malaysians, it is our role and responsibility for our country. Welfare, housing prices, tuition fees,subsidies and environmental concerns policies fates are decided on the elections, thus what needs to be done next might well determine the way you vote. With the substantial number having concern to register, the people will have a powerful force to improve the current system .
But if you don’t register and you don’t vote, you’ve lost your right to a say.
