Rapid KL

Beginning (25 April), members of the public will have better access to the new Kuala Lumpur Health Clinic or Klinik Kesihatan Kuala Lumpur (KKKL) by taking Rapid KL bus service Route 402, which also serves the Titiwangsa LRT station.

Hence, members of the public can take advantage of a full-fledged public transport service by taking the LRT service from any part of the city as the LRT Titiwangsa Station is connected to both the Ampang/Sri Petaling LRT Line as well as the Titiwangsa Monorail Station.

“Alternatively, commuters can also take the 402 Rapid KL bus from our bus stop at KLCC LRT station or at the Ampang Line Taman Maluri Station as the bus travels from Titiwangsa Station to Maluri LRT Station via KLCC and Jalan Tun Razak,” Rapid KL bus services chief operating officer Azam Omar said in a statement yesterday.

“The bus will stop near the Shell station at Jalan Tun Razak, which is just 70 metres away to the rear entrance of the Outpatient Clinic from KKKL, which is located at Jalan Fletcher. Service starts tomorrow with a frequency of 30 minutes and a total of five buses for starters. We will increase the number of buses if there is a high demand.

“A bus pole will be installed tomorrow for the convenience of our customers. We are unable to allow our buses to detour in Jalan Fletcher as the road is too narrow,” he said, adding Kuala Lumpur City Hall has agreed to construct a bus shelter and a covered walkway for the convenience of the pedestrians.

“We would like to thank our customers for all their feedback especially in regard of bus services to the KKKL, Jalan Fletcher. At Rapid KL, we strive to provide the best possible service to our customers and in accordance to our capabilities,” he said.

The RM50-million new KKKL in Jalan Fletcher, which was opened on April 3, is the biggest government health clinic in the country – and the first Super Type 1 Clinic. Catering up to 3,000 patients a day, KKKL replaces the Kuala Lumpur Hospital’s Outpatient Department.

Offering 12 types of health services, including outpatient care, maternal and child care, dental care and pharmacy services, the clinic also boasts X-ray, nutrition, dietetics, laboratory and rehabilitation facilities.
